How to Lower Your Body Fat

Body fat has a tendency of catching us off guard when you don’t pay attention to our diet or exercise, especially during the holidays. We might have easily gained it, but lowering your body fast is a completely different story, but with patience and dedication it can be done.

How to Lower your Body Fat

  1. Eat a low fat diet. You are what you eat, and by consuming a fat-rich diet, you are inevitably going to gain body fat. Limit yourself to eat just a few grams of fat daily. The type of fat in your diet is also very important. Most meats contain unhealthy saturated fats which have been linked to high blood pressure and cholesterol, while unsatursated fats found it plants and nuts have been linked to decreasing these metabolic derangement such as high cholesterol.
  2. Eat a lot of complex carbohydrates. These can give your body the fuel it needs to burn fat, and can be found in whole grain, fruits and vegetables. Watch out for simple carbohydrates though, these are foods with a lot of sugar, as these is not helpful in losing body fat.
  3. Eat lean meats. If your not willing to become a vegetarian (which is the best option), eating lean meats such white meat chicken and turkey as well as fish is the next best thing. Beans are also an excellent source of protein, which are ideal because they contain no fat.
  4. Drink water and plenty of it.Drinking at least 8 glasses of water daily helps burn fat and increases your body’s ability to build and maintain muscles. In addition to this, try drinking only water. Avoid drinking sodas completely and limit the amount of juices you consume.
  5. Exercise. Building muscles by exercising is a great way to lose body fat. The most muscle you build (the high your muscle mass becomes), the more fat you will burn , as well as raising your metabolism.

Tips and Warnings

  • Be patient. You won’t see results overnight, just as you didn’t gain all your body fat after one large feast. Getting rid of body fat takes time and effort.
  • Don’t forget to exercise regularly. Building up muscle is the most important part of burning body fat. Changing your diet alone won’t do the trick.
  • Eat, and don’t starve yourself. Instead, make sure you eat healthy foods to lose body fat while keeping your body nourished and healthy.
The Indian Walnut is also a great way to burn body fat. It’s a completely natural nut from Asia and Central America which has tons of health benefits, including the ability of burning body fat.
